International Music Festival of Florence: young talents of music from around the world

Over the years, Il Trillo has developed collaborations with several music schools, conservatories, music institutes, and important music competitions in Europe, America, and Asia.

The Florence International Music Festival was founded in 2002, and it includes diverse thematic festivals with the aim of giving the opportunity to young talents to perform music in the most prestigious concert halls of Florence and Italy: in Florence in the Salone del Cinquecento at Palazzo Vecchio, Salone del Brunelleschi, and churches of great historical and architectural prestige; in Rome, in the Caravita Oratory; in Pisa, in the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine; and in Venice, in the Great Hall of San Rocco.

Participating at the festival are singers, instrumental soloists, orchestras, choirs and ensembles.

During the same period, participants also take high-level masterclasses and have the opportunity to perform with young Italian talents.

Our Festivals

February: “Festival Italia and Korea Brought Together by Music”. The program includes performances of Korean traditional music with period instruments along with classical European repertoire.

March / April: “Flautisti in Festa” is an event dedicated to flutists at all levels and of all ages. Students come from private music schools, conservatories, the Tuscan Orchestra, and several European countries.

July: The “Bel Canto” Summer Program. The festival is attended by high-level international singers directed by famous concert performers from the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Juilliard School, the University Michigan, and other important musical institutions.

Il Trillo is open to new partners to be included in future editions of the program.
