Il Trillo is a private music school founded in 1999 in the heart of Florence, cradle of “Opera Lirica” and one of the most important cities in the history of the Arts.  Florence, in fact, is considered one of the most vibrant, arts-oriented cities in the world. Therefore, Il Trillo has access within the city to superb theater, recital halls and historic churches for performances, in addition to practice and lesson classrooms and halls at the school.

Florence has been the birthplace and has seen grow some of the greatest and significant artists of all times. Its location in the central area of Italy means that it has a privileged geographical position and can be reached in only a few hours (2 max.) by train from Milan, Rome, and Venice.

The school’s mission is to provide a practical and direct learning experience in music, based on small groups, hour-long lessons and class meetings, and co-curricular opportunities such as concerts, operas, and masterclasses that guarantee a high quality involvement for our students.

The courses are open to undergraduate and graduate students coming from Conservatories and Colleges, as well as private schools.

All classes are conducted in English and their content is quiet varied, allowing students to take various courses within the same semester.
