SEBASTIANO BON – FLAUTO JAZZ AND HISTORY

He studied flute under Stefano Agostini at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesoleand obtained a diploma from Istituto Musicale R. Franci in Siena. He took degrees at the University of Florence with a final paper on Music History, and, taking honors, at the two-year jazz program of Conservatorio L. Cherubiniin Florence. He plays in various ensembles including Quartetto Atmos,codice3and ‘Tween Two performing his own compositionswhich propose a jazz and classical music synthesis. Since 2001 he has composed incidental music for the theatre company Scimmie Nude. He has recorded for various labels and in 2012 VigorMusic published his composition Chicago Bluesfor flute ensemble. He holds seminars on improvisation and teaches jazz and classical flute, music at a state middle school and music history. A journalist, he holds lectures, publishes articles and works for the radiostation Rete Toscana Classica.He lives and works in Florence Italy.
