Her works have\u00a0earned international recognitions since 2015, including a third prize at the International Jean Sibelius Composition Competition (Finland)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a\u00a0first prize at the First International Composition Competition Piero Farulli (Italy)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">second prize at the International Composition Competition Michele Novaro (Italy), a\u00a0first prize at William Howard\u2019s Love Song Composing Competition (UK) and a commission prize from the Goethe-Institut Korea for its Asian Composers Showcase 2017.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Described as having \u201cmanifest flair\u201d (The Sunday Times), her <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chanson Perp\u00e9tuelle<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for piano <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was released on Orchid Classics (London) in 2018, while her orchestral work <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Occultra<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra in 2014.\u00a0Her\u00a0String Quartet<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was published by Ricordi (Milan).\u00a0 Upcoming projects include a commission for a premiere by Quatuor B\u00e9la at Festival Archipel 2019 in Geneva and a commission to be premiered\u00a0by the Philharmonia Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall, London in June 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chia-Ying studied composition in Taipei, Manchester and Rome.
