Jazz singer and teacher, composer, arranger, director of choirs. She gives singing masterclasses all over Italy, qualified in forming Vocal Summit groups and guided improvisation, Circlesongs.
Plays the piano since she was four. She has studied jazz and improvisation with Bob Stoloff of the Berklee School of Music in Boston and at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. She is among the first teachers certified in Italy in the Vocal Power Method of Los Angeles. She has attended numerous shows and festivals in Italy and abroad working with musicians among whom are Pietro Tonolo, Francesco Cafiso, Cameron Brown, Ian Shaw, Vana Gierig, Scott Hamilton, Renato Sellani, Dave Kikoski, Bobby Durham. In 2002 she appears as best talent in the Top Jazz survey of the magazine Musica Jazz.
Stefania Scarinzi has recorded both in the classic and jazz area. Her latest work “Sempre Amore”, with Renato Sellani, Massimo Moriconi and Nico Gori, was produced by Philology Jazz Record.
She is a teacher at the Scuola G.Verdi in Prato and at the Mabellini school of music in Pistoia. She holds the professorship of jazz singing at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
