Maria Clara Medina is president of Florence International Music Services, vice –president of the Il Trillo School of Music, and director of Il Trillo Corea Italian Music School. Maria Clara received her diploma in classical piano from the Conservatory of Florence under C. Saldicco and in chamber music under Piernarciso Masi at the International Piano Academy (“Incontri con il maestro di Imola”). She perfected her studies with V. Berman. She graduated with honors from the University of Florence with a degree in philosophy (Prof. S. Givone) and based her thesis on the writings of several philosophers and theorists of music. She has received many first-place prizes in various national competitions. She studied at the Salzburg Summer Academy with S. Perticaroli, taking part in master-classes by Piernarsciso Masi and Aquiles Delle Vigne. As a soloist and a chamber musician, Maria Clara performs frequently throughout Italy and Europe (Lugano, Trani, Paris, France, Salzburg, Rome etc.). Apart from her performing career, she teaches piano and chamber music. She also organizes concerts, master-classes, and seminars on music-teaching methods in addition to a variety of standard music courses. She specializes in music education and has taken part in numerous courses on new teaching methods for children. Maria Clara has created and produced, with Matteo Dentellato various educational music theater projects for children that are represented in public and private schools.
She is an artistic director for the Florence International Music Festival and Flautisti in Festa.
