He studied flute under Stefano Agostini at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesoleand obtained a diploma from Istituto Musicale R. Franci in Siena. He took degrees at the University of Florence with a final paper on Music History, and, taking honors, at the two-year jazz program of Conservatorio L. Cherubiniin Florence. He plays in various ensembles including Quartetto Atmos,codice3and ‘Tween Two performing his own compositionswhich propose a jazz and classical music synthesis. Since 2001 he has composed incidental music for the theatre company Scimmie Nude. He has recorded for various labels and in 2012 VigorMusic published his composition Chicago Bluesfor flute ensemble. He holds seminars on improvisation and teaches jazz and classical flute, music at a state middle school and music history. A journalist, he holds lectures, publishes articles and works for the radiostation Rete Toscana Classica.He lives and works in Florence Italy.

DANIELA COSTA has achieved widespread acclaim for her natural and insightful performances as an accomplished Lieder accompanist, chamber musician, lecturer, musicologist, Italian Diction coach and professor of Italian opera at several prestigious American Universities.
As an Art-Song accompanist Daniela Costa has performed for the most important musical institutions in Italy (Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Amici della Musica di Perugia, Amici della Musica di Firenze, among others) and internationally in various European countries, including Germany, Belgium, France, Norway, Switzerland, and Malta. She has performed with distinguished singers such as the American soprano and Kammersängerin Nancy Gustafson, the Norwegian soprano Elizabeth Norberg- Schulz, Julian Prégardien, Maria Costanza Nocentini, Debora Beronesi, Franziska Gottwald, and Leonardo de Lisi, among others. Daniela Costa combines an “excellent technique and outstanding musicianship” and the ability to collaborate at the highest level with artists of widely varying temperaments and approaches. She has been featured on international radio stations: in Italy (Rai and Radio Vaticana), Belgium (BRT and RBTF), and Germany (SDR). She recorded two world premiere CDs for Nuova Era Label that were much acclaimed by both national and international press.
Since its first edition in 2009 until Summer 2014, she was regularly invited by Lorin Maazel at his Castleton Festival in Virginia. She worked there as Coach of Italian Diction for the Italian Opera productions and as Professor of Italian Art-Songs for CATS (Castleton Artist Training program). At Castleton Festival she also collaborated with some of the most famous American singers such as Neil Shicoff, Carol Vaness, Nancy Gustafson, Denyce Graves. She also worked as Italian diction coach for Italian Opera productions with Directors Tomer Zvulum (Atlanta Opera), William Kerley, and Lynne Hockney (Glyndebourne Festival).
She is currently Professor of Italian Opera at the Florence Centers of California State University, Gonzaga University, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Burch Honors, and she has taught, lectured and performed at Richmond University, Smith College, Georgetown University, Kent State University, Syracuse University, Sarah Lawrence College, Middlebury College, the Smithsonian Institute (Washington D.C.), Northwestern University (Illinois), The School of Music of Fiesole, The Conservatorio Cherubini in Firenze, and the University of Siena.
She also regularly lectures and gives master classes and workshop throughout Italy, Europe, and North America. She was invited to give a series of Master Classes on “Italian diction, vocalism, and style from Baroque to Belcanto and beyond ” at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and on “Opera, Lied, and Rhythmic translation” at the University of Siena, Italy – Department of Language and Literature.
Recently she gave a lecture on Lyric diction and phonetic (…) for the Round Table on “Language, not language; what type of didactic method should one use today?”, organized by Georgetown University, the prestigious Accademia della Crusca, and Stanford University, at Georgetown University, Villa le Balze, Fiesole. She has written many articles on Vocal Chamber Music (Lieder and Chansons) and translations of Lieder poems from German, French, English, and Spanish for the Amici della Musica di Firenze, the Amici della Musica di Perugia, and Unione Musicale di Torino.
Daniela Costa was born in Rome and studied piano with Sergio Cafaro at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, composition with Gino Marinuzzi, and musicology with Fedele d’Amico at the Institute of Music History at the University of Rome. Thanks to a EU grant, she completed an Advanced Post-graduate Degree in Chamber Music at the School of Music of Fiesole under the guide of Dario De Rosa and the famous Trio di Trieste. Then she was invited by Irwin Gage to attend his three years Advanced Post- graduate Art-Song Accompanist class at the Musikhochschule in Zürich, where she specialized in German Lieder and French Chansons. She was also awarded two study bursaries from the Helvetic Confederation.

Born in Empoli (Florence) on 21.4.1976, maestro collaboratore of the Opera Theater of Florence. He constantly collaborates with directors such as Metha, Luisi, Pretto, etc.. Since years he is preparing singers for the most important concert seasons such as the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, for Santa Cecilia and competition.
Complete and versatile musician, thanks to his experience in heterogeneous musical fields (jazz, pop, brass band, classical, theatrical shows) and the practice of different instruments.
He was accompanying pianist in the summer courses organised by the association “Artemista” during which he collaborated with some leading musicians from the Orchestra S. Cecilia, Rome (Paolo Pollastri), the Orchestra of Maggio Musicale Florence (Alda Dalle Lucche, Riccardo Crocilla) and the Orchestra Regionale Toscana (Fabio Fabbrizzi, Marco Ortolani, Umberto Codecα, Paolo Faggi, Donato De Sena).
Since 2001 he has worked as accompanying pianist in professional and special courses held by the Fiesole Music School (Florence) in the classes of the horn player Guido Corti, of tuba player Roger Bobo, of oboists Thomas Indermhnle and Paolo Grazia and flutist Giampaolo Pretto, violinist Tatiana Liberova, assistant to Russsian violinist Vernikov.
He has collaborated on various masterclasses held by oboist Paolo Pollastri, first oboist of Santa Cecilia.
In November 1999 he played with the French trombonist Jacques Mauger in a concert at the end of a masterclass held by the aforesaid at the Conservatory ôLuigi Cherubiniö in Florence. In April 2001 he took part in a tour in Marocco performing an opera recital in the cities
of Casablanca, Rabat ed Essaouira. He performed several concerts in duo with Giampaolo Pretto, first flutist of the ÆSymphony Orchestra of the Rai: in January 2003 at the state conservatory ôLuca Marenzioö in Brescia, section of Darfo Boario Terme; in March 2003, in Brescia, in the San Barnaba hall; in November 2003 at the 7th Italian Flute Festival (Flautissimo) at the Music Park in Rome and at the 6th Fl÷tenfest at Konzerthaus in Vienna.Also in 2003 and 2004 he took part, as accompanying pianist, in the 4th and 5th International Festivals ôSanta Fiora in musicö during which he performed a concert with the French saxophonist Fabrice Moretti (solist in the Philharmonic Orchestra Radio France).
In January 2004 he played at the National Library in Florence for the screening of the silent film by René Clair “Entr’acte”, with original music by Erik Satie in a reduction for pianoforte for 4 hands.
In May 2004 he performed a concert at the British Institute of Florence with the American tuba player Daniel Burdick.In June 2004 he began the recording of a CD with Maestro Paolo Pollastri and in the same month held a concert at the “Teatro del sale” in Florence with Ariane Araújo Paixão, first flute of the National Theatre Orchestra “Claudio Santoro” and teacher at the Brasilia School of Music.

Marco Ariani began studying the cello at the age of 7 under the guidance of M°. Francesco Pepicelli. At the age of 14 he performed the Georg Goltermann concerto n. 4 as a first recital, and continued with a series of concerts in duo and as a soloist throughout Italy. He graduated in cello from the Higher Institute of Musical Studies “A. Peri” of Reggio Emilia with honors, under the guidance of M°. Enrico Bronzi. In 2004 he was invited by the Italian Embassy in Australia, to do a tour playing duets with the pianist Marco Gianferrari, where they performed in important theaters such as the Town Hall Opera in Perth. In 2005 he was selected by M°. Claudio Abbado as a member of the “Mozart Orchestra” with which the concerts of W. A. Mozart for horn and violin respectively performed by Alessio Allegrini and Giuliano Carmignola were recorded for Deutsche Grammophon. Marco has played in orchestras with important conductors such as M.°s Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Claudio Abbado and John E. Gardiner. In 2006 he had the opportunity to play the quartets by Gabriel Faurè with Alessandro Specchi and to perform as a soloist with the violinist Silvia Mazzon for the concert festival “Il Violino Magico” in Portogruaro conducted by M°. Pavel Vernikov. For some years he studied the Baroque and Classical repertoire with an original instrument under the guidance of M°. Marco Frezzato; he was also invited on several occasions to play with the “Europa Galante” ensemble of ancient music directed by M°. Fabio Biondi. In 2012 he performed the complete suites of J. S. Bach for solo cello in many Italian cities. He has won several prizes in national and international chamber music competitions, performing duets with pianist Marco Gianferrari and trios with “Trio Gentilucci”. Marco has been teaching cello for many years, and is currently a teacher at the “Orazio Vecchi” Conservatory of Modena. He plays a “Jacques le Clerc” (1901) cello.

Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano has performed as a soloist and in chamber ensembles with soloists from the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra and Chorus, Cameristi Fiorentini, the Harmonia Cantata Choir of Florence, with prestigious musical artists, including Denia Mazzola Gavazzeni, Rolando Panerai, Leonardo De Lisi, Filippo Adami, Eva Mei, Angelo Fiore and Anne Gjevang; Francesco Filidei, Yehezkel Yerushalmi, Renzo Pelli, Riccardo Crocilla, Alessandro Perpich, and Marco Salvatori Alda Dalle Lucche, Paola Gassman, Michele Placido, Athina Cenci, Ugo Pagliai, Luca Barbareschi, Milena Vukotic, Gennaro Cannavacciuolo, Lucia Poli, Valentina Chico, and Angelo Savelli.

On several occasions, Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano has conducted the Orchestra Regina- soloists of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Florence.
Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano has been the artistic director of the theatre and music festival “Nights at Villa Garzoni” at Villa Garzoni in Collodi in collaboration with the “Carlo Collodi” National Foundation with the programming of significant musical and theatrical events.
Together with Giuseppe Lanzetta, Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano is the co-artistic director of the festival “Musica al Ponte” in the beautiful Auditorium of Santo Stefano al Ponte.
Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano is the assistant to Maestro Giuseppe Lanzetta. He was invited by UCD (University College Dublin) School of Music (Ireland) to hold recitals of Italian Romantic piano repertoire.
Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano was invited by Feng Chia University, Huang Kuagn University, and Chung Shan Hall in Taichung (Taiwan) to hold recitals and master classes as a pianist and conductor in prestigious theatres and concert halls. He teaches musical education and piano in public schools. Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano carried out laboratories in Musicology and Music history at the Faculty of Education of the Florence University. Michelangelo Giaime Gagliano is currently a teacher at the Trillo School Music in Florence.
